Margo Garnett
As a very young child, I realized I was to be an artist, because of the
encouragement of my family and partly because my early attempts at art were
successful. I also had great mentors
who encourage me to continue with my art.
I have always studied art even while I pursued a career in nursing. I always found ways to do art. Our move to Oregon in 1979 gave me the chance to continue my education in art at Oregon
College of Art. I have always been a
freelance artist, even while doing nursing.
I have done freelance art for hospitals, doctors, churches, clinics and
businesses.
Pen and ink and Watercolor are my favorite media; my subjects are varied. I have challenged myself to do the
Oregon historical lighthouses. My work can be seen at
Art du Jour Gallery
in Medford
and various shows around the area.
